Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to oversee all onsite construction activities on federal projects in Lawton, OK.

You will ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and contract requirements while coordinating subcontractors and field personnel. This role serves as the primary onsite representative for project execution, safety programs, quality control, schedule performance, and cost control, with daily safety inspections,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial, industrial, or federal construction projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience serving in an SSHO or construction safety leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience on USACE, DoD, VA, GSA, Air Force, Army, Navy, or other federal government contracts.
• Thorough knowledge of federal construction contract requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations for federal construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.
• Ensure work progresses according to project schedules, plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings with field staff and subcontractors.
• Monitor labor productivity and resource allocation.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimize schedule delays.
• Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Coordinate inspections with government representatives and applicable authorities.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project logs, and documentation.
• Ensure project quality standards are achieved and deficiencies are corrected promptly.
• Support project management with schedule updates, progress reporting, and cost control efforts.
• Serve as the designated Site Safety and Health Officer for all project safety matters.
• Develop, implement, and enforce the Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1 requirements, and all contract-specific safety provisions.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare required reports.
• Maintain all safety records, logs, permits, and training documentation.
• Generate, Coordinate and/or manage Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices by all personnel on site.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for government safety representatives.
• Stop unsafe work activities and implement corrective actions as necessary.
