Job summary

Outside the Box, LLC seeks a highly capable Superintendent/SSHO/QCM to lead field construction, enforce EM 385‑1‑1 and OSHA safety, and manage QC across three phases on federal projects. This role directs daily operations, coordinates subcontractors, interfaces with government representatives, and ensures compliance with contract drawings and specs.

The position requires 7–10 years of construction experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to gain access to federal installations; HS

Qualifications

• Experience leading field construction activities on federal or similar projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and QC/safety standards.
• OSHA 30 Hour and EM 385-1-1 40-hour SSHO certs are required.
• USACE or government project experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onsite construction activities and supervise labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Enforce safety programs, conduct daily inspections, and maintain APP/AHAs.
• Lead QC across Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up phases.
• Review submittals, testing, and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Maintain as-built drawings and project closeout records.
• Lead meetings and interface with inspectors and government reps.
