Job summary

Jobot seeks a Permanent Superintendent to lead field operations on federal construction projects in Virginia. You will oversee subcontractors, enforce safety, and ensure quality, timeliness, and budget goals while coordinating with project teams and NAVFAC/Army Corps representatives.

The ideal candidate has a BS in construction management or related field, 5+ years of leadership in construction, and proven ability to manage multiple projects on site under EM 385-1-1 standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination.
• 5+ years in construction management with leadership experience.
• Experience with NAVFAC and/or Army Corps.
• Must meet EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 30/First Aid/CPR.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to access military installations.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field activities and subcontractor performance for safety, quality, and timeliness.
• Implement safety protocols meeting EM 385-1-1; OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR.
• Prepare and distribute project documents: daily reports and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and staff to meet schedule and budget.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
