Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Federal Construction Project Manager to lead and direct all phases of large-scale government construction projects in the United States. You will coordinate contractors, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and communicate with government stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive field work, strong technical and leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and manage all phases of Federal construction projects.
• Oversee and coordinate contractors, subcontractors and on-site personnel.
• Act as liaison between Federal government client, stakeholders and contractors.
• Review construction documents for FAR compliance and safety standards.
• Lead pre-construction conferences, design progress meetings and site inspections.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards are met.
• Track performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior staff and prepare project documentation.
