Job summary

Accura Engineering in Springfield, MA seeks a Project Engineer to provide construction project engineering services, including project observation and reporting to government personnel. This role will support project development and delivery by implementing government decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• Minimum seven years of experience in contract administration and/or office engineering.
• Experience with government construction programs is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with RMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance per policies and regulations.
• Analyze design and construction issues and advise government personnel on contract compliance.
• Provide field surveillance and prepare daily reports covering cost and engineering factors.
• Review submittals, prepare recommendations, and coordinate with reviewers.
• Prepare change orders, modification scopes of work, and cost analyses for approvals.
• Attend preconstruction conferences and coordinate meetings with contractors and COR.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)

Contract administration experience

Office engineering experience

Ability to obtain government/site access

RMS experience (preferred)
