Job summary

Good-Men Roofing & Construction, Inc. seeks an experienced Federal Construction Estimator to support DoD MACC and other federal pursuits.

You will prepare accurate, compliant estimates, review drawings and wage determinations, and coordinate with design professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers to support proposals and post-award turnover. The ideal candidate has five years of general-contractor estimating experience, strong design-build knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressively responsible estimating experience with a general contractor; multi-trade, design-build, and federal work experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, wage determinations, and procurement instructions; ability to interpret requirements.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication; able to manage competing deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review DoD MACC task-order requests, RFPs, drawings, and wage determinations.
• Develop and document compliant estimates, cost breakdowns, and schedules of values.
• Coordinate with design managers, arquitect-engineer teams, and trade partners on constructability and value engineering.
• Solicit subcontractor quotes, identify gaps, and document buyout risks.
• Lead post-award estimate turnover with project teams and maintain auditable estimate records.
