Qualifications
US Citizenship is required.
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in the construction industry in the estimating field.
Ability to understand bid job instructions and detailed specifications.
Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for estimating projects.
Prepare estimates by taking off assigned scopes of work.
Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand.
Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission.
Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers.
Analyze data and produce forecasts.
Work with Operations to understand scope of work.
Ensure sufficient subcontractor coverage for each bid.
Prepare bid general conditions and review before submittal.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of Federal Government procurement methodology
Working knowledge of the Design-Build process
Thorough knowledge of Metro Washington DC subcontractors
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Excellent computer skills
Strong communication and analytical skills
Education
BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Professional Certification in the state of MD
