Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements for Federal Civilian Science and Policy customers, shaping implementation architectures and responding to RFPs. You will be a subject matter expert on security for applications and networks, and you will collaborate with a world-class sales and business development team.

You will drive thought leadership, share best practices across the architect community, and help customers design cloud computing

Qualifications

2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
4+ years of specific technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).

Responsibilities

Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, develop a deep expertise in AWS technologies.
Lead efforts to share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
Educate colleagues and customers across enterprise architecture breadth.
