Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to support US Government customers in the Northern Virginia / DC Metro area, with relocation assistance available. You will partner with AWS Sales and others to craft scalable, resilient cloud architectures that address Intelligence Community business problems and accelerate AWS adoption.

The ideal candidate will blend technical depth with leadership and consultative skills to drive revenue and customer success.

Qualifications

8+ years in technology domains (software/cloud/infra)
6+ years design/implementation in applications and infrastructures
Experience conveying complex tech to technical and business audiences
Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements and describe designs
Current, active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph

Responsibilities

Formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue with AWS adoption
Build and migrate applications and services on the AWS platform
Educate customers on AWS value and participate in deep architectural discussions
Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers
Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community
Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers
Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable cloud advocacy
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support
