Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to own the adoption of cloud computing for U.S.

Federal Civilian Government research initiatives and to lead architecture discussions with agencies and our ecosystem of partners in the Western United States. You will define architectures, respond to RFPs, and demonstrate AWS technologies while ensuring security and compliance across customer applications and services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

Responsibilities

• Helping U.S. Federal Civilian Government organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.
• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
