Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager III for our Federal Engineering & Design Team to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering high-impact infrastructure for federal clients. You will oversee planning, design, and construction support for facilities including military bases, VA campuses, and other government installations.

Qualifications

• Eight years of project experience in AEC with increasing responsibility.
• Active PE license required.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams on federal projects for DoD/VA.
• Strong understanding of federal design standards, acquisitions, contracts, and project financials.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management for federal projects (military, VA, government facilities).
• Define scopes, schedules, and budgets with technical teams and oversee execution.
• Assemble and manage multidisciplinary teams aligning expertise with goals and federal requirements.
• Serve as primary client liaison ensuring compliance with UFC/DoD/VA and standards.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and risk mitigation to minimize impact.
• Oversee preparation/delivery of technical docs, including designs, specs, and cost estimates.
• Lead design reviews and implement QA plans to meet standards and client expectations.
• Maintain organized project records and performance docs.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements.
