Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a CAD Technician III – Federal to translate field notes into precise AutoCAD drawings and maintain Inside/Outside Plant project documentation. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliant, timely deliverables and manage data in Excel for tracking and reporting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. GIS tools and Lisp/VBA skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Four+ years drafting experience with AutoCAD 2020 or newer.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for documentation and tracking.
• Ability to learn and apply technical standards and procedures accurately.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain Inside Plant and Outside Plant drawings using AutoCAD and field notes.
• Develop and update project documentation in Excel with cables lists, revision logs, and tracking materials.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and stakeholders to support deliverables, schedules, and labor estimates.
• Contribute to a team environment by following procedures and communicating project status and needs.
