Job summary

WSP is seeking a Junior Structural (Buildings) Engineer to join our Federal Programs AEC Team. The position supports structural design through construction-phase services for federal, defense, and public-sector clients at multiple US locations including Denver, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, and Virginia Beach.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Familiarity with structural building codes and design standards.
• Excellent research and analytical mindset.
• Proficient communication and teamwork to interact with engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings under supervision.
• Develop structural drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
• Use structural software to evaluate loads and design members and connections.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Prepare complete structural calculations and BIM models using engineering software.
• Participate in site visits and construction-phase services and review submittals.
• Adhere to safety requirements and project procedures.
• Complete required training and uphold company policies.
