Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and remain calm in stressful situations
• A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
• Combination of general work experience AND college education submitted with the application

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near the borders using various assets
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry or contraband
• Performing checks and patrols across farm, city, traffic, and transportation environments
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets for CBP mission
