Qualifications

• Experience: One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership, decision making, and ability to work under stress.
• Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of experience and education as documented in your resume/transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance and night-vision assets.
• Interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband and following tracks or signs.
• Performing farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks as part of patrol duties.
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets to fulfill the USBP mission.
