Job summary

Michels Corporation in Reston, VA seeks an Alternative Delivery Manager - FEDERAL to lead all phases of alternative delivery projects. You will drive upstream and downstream leadership on alternative delivery concepts and embed DBIA processes throughout the federal project lifecycle.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking across internal and external teams, and the ability to make timely, informed decisions while managing design and contract phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 5+ years of project management, construction management experience, or an equivalent combination.
• 5-7 years specific Design and/or Construction management experience on delivering federal projects.
• Experience with alternative delivery projects (design build, CMGC, progressive design build).
• Travel requirements may exceed 50% depending on assignment and project requirements.
• Experience in client management on project pursuits, as well as in project delivery.
• Understanding of Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls Software.
• Experience in technical writing.
• A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
• Lead PDB design integration management.
• Involve in all phases of the project lifecycle from business development, teaming, pursuits & proposals, and active contract and design management.
• Be goal oriented, organized, and professional to exceed client expectations.
