Job summary

Americans for Prosperity in Washington, DC seeks a Federal Affairs Coordinator and Legislative Aide to keep our federal government affairs team running at its best, support our federal lobbyists with legislative research and bill tracking, and manage operations, budgets, and communications.

You will collaborate with AFP, CVA, and The LIBRE Initiative, engage with congressional offices and partners, attend hearings, and publish the legislative scorecard while ensuring accurate web content and

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in operations, administration, or government affairs.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities with precision and composure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with limited supervision.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational discipline, and written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and legislative platforms such as Quorum, Airtable, and IQ.

Responsibilities

Lead Team Operations and Knowledge Systems across AFP, CVA, and The LIBRE Initiative.
Budget and Finance: track the team budget with the Director of Federal Government Affairs and process invoices in Concur.
Systems and Communications: manage email blasts, maintain web content, and run the legislative scorecard process.
Legislative Support: research and analyze bills, track committee votes, and attend hearings on behalf of the team.
