Job summary

Foster Garvey PC seeks a partner or counsel-level attorney with seven+ years of FDA regulatory experience to join its Consumer Brands team in guiding food, beverage, dietary supplement and other consumer products matters. The role involves leading regulatory counseling for complex transactions, recalls, and labeling challenges across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have seven+ years advising on FDA regulatory matters across food, beverage, cosmetics, and consumer products.
• Experience with USDA regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Portable book of business and demonstrated interest in growing client relationships.
• Familiarity with CPSC, FTC or related regulatory regimes is a plus.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills are essential.
• Bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction; California Bar a plus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on labeling, advertising claims, ingredient and product compliance.
• Lead regulatory aspects of sophisticated financing, investment and M&A transactions.
• Advise on regulatory risk across consumer brands, including supply and distribution arrangements.
• Collaborate with investors, lenders and operating companies to manage regulatory risk.
• Support business development and cross-practice growth within the firm.
