Job summary

COMMUNITY RENEWAL TEAM INC in Hartford, CT seeks a Fatherhood Coordinator for its Fatherhood Initiative. You will deliver workshops, groups, and other direct services using an evidence-based curriculum to promote responsible fatherhood and engage community providers.

This full-time role requires High School education, one year of experience with families, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School education required; must self-identify as a peer.
• Minimum one year of experience working with families or as a peer in family services.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; basic MS Office and data-entry skills.
• Knowledge of Hartford area and ability to engage families.
• Bilingual preferred; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance.
• Attend mandatory training.
• Conduct community outreach and participant recruitment to reach low-income fathers in CRT catchment area.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate advisory group provider meetings and recruit guest speakers.
• Facilitate curriculum workshops and support groups.
• Conduct fatherhood assessments and develop service plans using CRT’s case management system.
• Create and maintain client records and prepare reports.
• Participate in community meetings and outreach activities.
• Perform other duties and work late evenings, weekends, or unconventional hours.
