Job summary

ITW Mechanical Fastening at our Itasca, IL facility is seeking a 2nd shift operator responsible for setup, operation and preventive maintenance of fastener manufacturing equipment. You will perform quality checks, follow SOPs and contribute to a safe, efficient production line.

Training is provided in the initial shift and overtime may be required. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year in high-volume manufacturing, ability to read blueprints, and the capacity to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Willing to work 2nd shift with some overtime including weekends.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate inline equipment to cold head, point and thread-roll fasteners.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Conduct quality checks and document results.
• Follow documented quality procedures and SOPs.
• Drive safety practices and identify hazards.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and participate in team meetings.
• Assist with general duties as assigned.
