Job summary

Areas USA, Inc. is seeking a prep cook to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare food to specifications, follow prep sheets, and communicate with the chef for instructions. Maintain sanitation, manage opening/closing duties, and handle end-of-day inventory while breaking down boxes properly.

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and the ability to work across opening, mid, and closing shifts as directed by management.

Qualifications

• No experience or diploma required.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and follow instructions.
• Capacity to use kitchen tools safely, including knives and small equipment ware.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations, complying with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with chef for instructions or training.
• Uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain food, utensils and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform opening, closing, side work duties and end-of-day inventory.
• Break down boxes and dispose of them properly.
• Perform opening, mid and closing duties as outlined by management.
