Job summary

Aerotek in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for day shift to perform general mechanical assembly of switchgear and panels using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment.

You will read schematics/blueprints, cut and fit components, install hardware, and work with cross-functional teams to meet daily output. 11-hour shifts and overtime are common in this onsite role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manual labor in industrial or similar environments.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Experience with reading schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials.
• Willingness to work long hours including 11-hour shifts.
• Strong reliability and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical switchgear and panels per schematics and BOMs.
• Fabricate and assemble metal frames and enclosures with hand/power tools.
• Measure materials with tape measure and basic tools.
• Install mechanical components and hardware.
• Move materials and assist with general labor tasks.
• Support framing and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Follow production schedules to meet daily output.
• Inspect assemblies for fit and quality and report issues.
