Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join the production team in Stafford, TX. You will read blueprints, assemble pipe components, valves, and fittings, and operate related equipment in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include precision cutting, grooving, gasket formation, and documenting production data. You will collaborate with teammates and quality staff to meet project specifications and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and job specifications to assemble pipe components.
• Experience assembling valves, fittings, and related components to detailed drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Capable of cutting and grooving pipe to specifications and tolerances.
• Forming gaskets and sealing components as required.
• Operate machines for grooving, cutting, and assembly per SOPs.
• Log production data accurately in computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pipe, connectors, fittings, and valves to exact specifications.
• Follow engineering drawings to assemble equipment and components.
• Cut, groove, and fit pipe as required; adjust as needed for proper fit.
• Form/seal gaskets and other sealing elements for each job.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Operate relevant machinery per standard operating procedures.
• Record production progress and maintain accurate logs.
