Job summary

Xfinity Live! in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a fast-paced kitchen. You will help maintain sanitation, assist with inventory, and restock items as needed while ensuring quality and timely service.

The role requires experience on a fast-paced kitchen line, basic recipe following, portion control, and presentation. Night/weekend shifts may be required; alcohol awareness/food handler certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking on a fast-paced kitchen line and food preparation.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation.
• Strong communication with cooks, servers and supervisors.
• Reading/writing necessary for meal prep, scheduling, and inventory checks.
• Math skills for measurements, quantities, and variances.
• Alcohol awareness certification or health/food handler card as required by state regulations.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving and inventory tasks.
• Restock items as needed during the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards per Health Board and company requirements.
• Keep a clean, organized work area including reach-ins and counters.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist with ware washing or other kitchen duties.
• Interact with guests occasionally and promote teamwork across departments.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
