Job summary

Xfinity Live! is seeking a Cook to handle daily kitchen duties, prepare and cook meals, and ensure high-quality presentation. You will work on a fast-paced line, manage inventory, and maintain sanitation standards across the kitchen.

The role requires at least one year on a busy kitchen line, basic cooking knowledge, recipe adherence, portion control, and strong communication with team members and supervisors. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cooking on a fast paced kitchen line with food prep.
• Culinary certified training preferred.
• Must demonstrate basic cooking knowledge, follow recipes, control portions, and present dishes well.
• Communication is key when coordinating with cooks, wait staff and supervisors.
• Reading/writing skills used when following recipes, scheduling kitchen staff, or tracking inventory.
• Math skills include basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local/state regulations.
• May work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations promptly.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items and assist in receiving and inventory tasks.
• Restock items as needed during the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per Health Board standards and company requirements.
• Keep a clean, organized work area including reach-ins and counters.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist with ware washing or other kitchen duties.
• Promote teamwork and quality service and interact with guests when needed.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
