Job summary

The Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Line Cook for our Tampa kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items safely, accurately, and consistently while maintaining a clean workstation, supporting daily service and events.

Requirements include prior line cook or food prep experience, knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety, ability to follow recipes and work with urgency in a team environment. Food safety certification is required or obtainable as required by local regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook, restaurant, or food preparation experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock assigned station before service.
• Maintain proper food quality, temperature, freshness, and presentation.
• Follow ticket orders accurately and work with urgency during service.
• Communicate with other kitchen stations to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete assigned prep work and maintain appropriate product levels throughout the shift.
• Follow proper food storage, labeling, dating, rotation, and temperature-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Minimize food waste and use proper portioning and product-handling procedures.
• Communicate low product levels, equipment issues, or food-quality concerns to the Chef or manager.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, cleaning, and kitchen organization as needed.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties.
