Job summary

Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel is seeking a Cook to assist under the Head Cook, preparing, seasoning, and cooking in a kitchen that adheres to food safety standards.

The role requires following standardized recipes, maintaining high-quality food items, and working to minimize waste while complying with gaming regulations and internal policies. Strong English communication and reliability are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience as a cook preferred.
• Professional training through culinary education, preferred.
• Must be able and willing to follow established recipes.
• Communication skills in English both written and oral, preferred. Spanish or other language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
• Provide high quality, fresh hot and cold food items in a timely manner using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
• Plan and organize the work day and ensure daily goals are met.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety practices and proper food storage.
• Operate a broad range of kitchen equipment including stoves, cook tops, broilers, deep fryers, hand tools, microwaves, blenders, cutters, processors and knives.
• Taste check and sample prepared food items to ensure quality.
