Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a team member to deliver fast, friendly service and to prepare quality finished products in a clean, inviting shop. You will work across stations and must follow Potbelly recipe standards while maintaining hygiene and safety.

You will handle cash, take catering and pickup orders, and uphold Potbelly values in daily interactions with customers. Must be 16+ and complete a Food Handler course where required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• All hourly, non-managers are required per jurisdictional requirements to successfully complete a Food Handler course and exam
• Must be friendly and customer service-oriented
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Must possess neat and clean hygiene
• Ability to handle a knife confidently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English via verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.) per Potbelly recipe standards
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety of the shop
• Restock food line, chips, and cooler
• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by Management
• Prepare meats, cheeses, breads, vegetables, and condiments for different sandwiches and salads
• Take delivery/catering/pickup orders accurately over the phone
• Deliver catering orders as detailed in the Catering Driver and Delivery Agreement
• Operate cash register and balance cash handling procedures
• Handle customer complaints/issues
• Other duties as assigned
