Job summary

Tory Burch in Secaucus is seeking an Archive Contractor to oversee daily activities at the Secaucus Archive facility, organizing and preserving past season corporate product across all categories. This role combines hands-on archiving with careful documentation to keep the collection accessible and in pristine condition.

You'll fulfill archive requests, process shipments to NY and NJ offices, organize inventory by category, year and season, and assist with annual audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in an archive, sample library, fashion showroom, or related environment.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with archive best practices and object handling procedures.
• Experience in cataloging, classifying, or inventorying garments and accessories.
• Ability to lift and move inventory boxes up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong computer skills; experience with Excel, inventory systems, or digital asset platforms.
• Proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Master's degree in Dress, Costume, Fashion History, Art History, or Decorative Arts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Archive Fulfillment & Coordination: fulfill requests by staging garments and shipments to NY/NJ offices.
• Receive and process shipments, ensuring accurate intake and organization.
• Collection Organization & Preservation: organize inventory by category, season, year.
• Tag and rehouse garments using archival materials.
• Routine object care and general collection upkeep.
• Digital Archive & Documentation: photograph items missing images and upload to Tory Track.
• Assist with annual physical archive inventory audit at Secaucus.
