H2ajobs in Lebanon, SD is seeking workers to attend to cattle on a seasonal farm. Duties include feeding, watering, herding, catching and loading cattle, hauling manure and feed, and inspecting and repairing cattle pens and equipment.

Experience is not required, but the role demands physical fitness and compliance with safety rules. Workers must be at least 18, able to obtain work authorization in the U.S., and willing to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Job description

Attend to cattle. Duties may include feeding, watering, herding, catching and loading, hauling manure and hauling feed. Inspect, maintain and repair cattle support equipment, pens, and enclosures. May maintain record on cattle: examine cattle to detect diseases or injuries: assist in calving: administer medications, vacations or insecticides as appropriate. Haul feed and cattle to market. On hour lunch break offered & other related Farmworkers, Farm & Ranch Animals activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Depending on housing location, worker may have a kitchen available for use. In that case, The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections. All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food. Otherwise, 3 meals per day will be provided to those workers who do not have access to free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities (all workers who are residing in public accommodations).

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the pl...
