Job summary

VK Capital Ventures Inc. in Houston seeks an Operations Manager to run Farm2Chef and Protein Pool operations daily, ensuring the demo board is fully staffed, cycles run on schedule, and rancher/farmer partners are well supported.

The role requires strong operations experience, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and a focus on precise settlements and planning. Full-time with weekend scheduling is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management, especially logistics or marketplace operations.
• Calm, direct communicator; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Houston-based with reliable transport across Harris County.
• Spreadsheet and systems discipline: your boards and settlements reconcile.

Responsibilities

• Own the demo board: every farmer demo slot filled, confirmed, and followed up — no slot left hanging
• Run Protein Pool cycles end-to-end: rancher/farmer coordination, household allocation windows, and settlements
• Own rancher/farmer operations relationships: onboarding, scheduling, and honest communication when something slips
• Keep settlements accurate and on time, reconciled with the finance lane
• Surface field reality into planning: what farmers and households actually need, in writing, on cadence

VK Capital Ventures Inc. runs Travel Villa Kitchen — a Houston chef co-op, cooking-class and private-dinner company (plus Six Rows Coffee and Farm2Chef, our farmer-chef marketplace) — and the Community Protein Pool, our Harris County food-access program. We are Human First service practitioners: healthy communication and people who are happy and emotionally safe in service is how we work. We are hiring an Operations Manager to run Farm2Chef and Protein Pool operations day to day: the demo board filled, the pool cycles on schedule, and our rancher and farmer partners taken care of.

Responsibilities

• Own the demo board: every farmer demo slot filled, confirmed, and followed up — no slot left hanging
• Run Protein Pool cycles end-to-end: rancher/farmer coordination, household allocation windows, and settlements
• Own rancher/farmer operations relationships: onboarding, scheduling, and honest communication when something slips
• Keep settlements accurate and on time, reconciled with the finance lane
• Surface field reality into planning: what farmers and households actually need, in writing, on cadence
