4-State Insurance Agency in Southeast Kansas is seeking a dedicated Farm and Ranch Sales Advisor who understands rural life. You will analyze risk profiles for farms and ranches, meet clients on-site, and manage a growing book of business with a focus on renewals and tailored coverage.

Ideal candidates will have farm/agriculture knowledge, sales or account management experience, and licenses in property & casualty, life, and crop insurance (Kansas/Missouri) or a plan to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Property & Casualty, Life insurance and crop licenses in Kansas/Missouri or be able to obtain within 60 days.
• Strong foundational knowledge of farm, ranch, crop and commercial operations.
• Previous professional experience in sales or account management within the agricultural sector.
• Effective communication skills to build trust with multi-generational families and business owners.
• Strong organizational habits for managing complex policy renewals and client files.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in an agricultural or business-related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the unique risk profiles of local farms and ranches to recommend tailored insurance protection.
• Conduct on-site visits to properties to better understand the scope of our clients' operations.
• Manage a diverse book of business, ensuring that every policy renewal is handled with care and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with clients to review their changing needs during different agricultural seasons.
• Identify gaps in coverage and proactively suggest solutions that keep our clients' assets safe.
• Engage with the surrounding area community to represent our agency at local agricultural events and trade shows.
