Job summary

Star of the West Milling Co. in Fairgrove, MI is seeking a hands-on Customer Service/Logistics Associate to greet growers, drivers and customers, sign in visitors, and weigh inbound and outbound loads at the truck scale while preparing documents.

This role supports daily shipping/receiving, maintains records in the ERP, helps with inventory counts, and ensures safety/compliance. Excellent communication and data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or High school diploma and two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic accounting information including Bills of Lading, Invoices and Statements, Purchase orders.
• Proficiency in typing and data entry.
• Ability to respond verbally and/or in writing in a professional manner to inquiries.
• Ability to present information to customers, vendors, or growers.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts including percentages.
• Ability to convert units of measure (pounds, bushels, metric tonnes, hundred weights).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficient in data entry and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet growers, truck drivers, customers and visitors with professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
• Sign in all customers and ensure GMPs are acknowledged.
• Operate truck scale and generate weight certificates for inbound/outbound loads.
• Prepare shipping documents by lot and PO numbers for operations.
• Enter bean receipts and grades into the ERP system and file records.
• Manage outbound shipment paperwork and file hard copies.
• Prepare, label, and store grower samples and retain products.
• Maintain and archive digital load pictures and records.
