Location: Waupun Mill - Waupun, WI 53963

Position Summary: Responsible for professional customer service, billing, and administrative duties as it relates to the customers of the locations business lines of feed, grain, and soy processing plant.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greets customers and establishes a helpful friendly atmosphere.
  • Continually arranges or cleans to assure a positive image to the customer.
  • Monitor vendors in the proper delivery of their product as authorized.
  • May originate or prepare correspondence or emails as directed.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments for customers coming across the truck scale.
  • Ability to grade grain and identity foreign materials (will train).
  • Record test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Coordination of delivery numbers, daily inputs, and verification of accuracy.
  • Basic customer service and communication including answering phones when other office staff is occupied assisting customers, communication to customers regarding location hours and ticket information.
  • Assist office staff with filing, reporting, tidiness of scale operation area and other duties as time allows.
  • Processes invoices to include matching the bill of lading with the proper weight and verification with the purchase order.
  • Enter all incoming ingredients into the system with cost and make monthly inventory adjustments.
  • Manage and update Feed Price Sheets.
  • Administer specific customer billing details on monthly basis.
  • Inputs business activities using the Agvantage software system and works with corporate personnel to assure completeness and accuracy of data input.
  • Communicates with customers and relays pertinent information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Customer invoicing.
  • Communicating inbound shipments and pickups with appropriate locations personal.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-4-year degree in an agricultural-related field or 2-4 years of administrative experience (agricultural background preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Bookkeeping,10-Key Calculator, Microsoft Office, Inventory, and Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
  • A successful candidate will have strong math, communication, sales, and organizational experience.
  • Previous feed mill or scale operator experience preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position is Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5pm, with extended hours and weekend hours during harvest.

  • Perform duties in a professional office setting.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and reach on occasion.
  • Fast paced environment, attention to details is a must.
