Placements24 is seeking a Farm Mechanization Technician for a hybrid role in South Africa. You will maintain and repair tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and irrigation systems across farm sites, while providing remote diagnostics and support to operations teams.

You must have a trade certificate or diploma in Agricultural Mechanization or related field, with at least 3 years of dairy/agricultural machinery experience, strong hydraulics/electrical know-how, and a valid driver’s license.

About the Role

Our client, a large agricultural enterprise with diverse operations in the East London, Eastern Cape region, is seeking a qualified Farm Mechanization Technician. This hybrid role involves both hands-on maintenance and repair at the farm sites and remote support for troubleshooting and diagnostics. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and irrigation systems. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the farm, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity. We are looking for a technically skilled individual with a strong understanding of agricultural machinery and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
