Job summary

H2ajobs in Tennessee is seeking a general farm laborer to perform hands-on tasks for building and maintaining a farm facility, office, and grain bin elevator controls and electrical panels, using hammer, power drill, screws, bolts, ladders and other basic tools.

Duties include leveling dirt for concrete, cutting and assembling metal sheets, clearing fences, and operating a farm vehicle to haul scraps and fetch materials.

Qualifications

• One month of verifiable experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Aid in building and maintaining a farm facility, office, and grain bin elevator controls and electrical panels using basic tools.
• Level dirt for concrete and prepare work areas; cut and assemble metal sheets; clear fences and repair structures.
• Operate a farm vehicle to haul scraps and fetch materials; follow safety guidelines on site.

Job description

Manual labor to construct farm facility including farm office and building for grain bin elevator controls and electrical panels using hammer, power drill, straps, ladders, screws, nails, bolts; use shovel and rake to level dirt for pouring concrete; assemble sheets of steel by following a set pattern; cutting up downed trees, pulling up broken fences, cleaning out and clearing drainage areas; drive farm vehicle to haul off scraps and to obtain items like sheets of metal, steel beams; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 1 months

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
