H2ajobs in North Dakota seeks a farm machinery repair technician to overhaul tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. You will dismantle and reassemble machinery, test operation, replace electrical components, and fabricate metal parts using shop tools.

You must be able to lift 60 lbs, work in extreme temperatures, and speak English. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, with weekly transportation assistance.

Repair and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Tune or overhaul engines. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Drive a pickup truck into town on occasion to pick up parts.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 6 months
