Job summary

H2ajobs seeks a farm laborer to reassemble and repair machinery, test operation, and adjust equipment as needed. You will service tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems, and related gear, perform basic welding, cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement while following safety rules. 3 months experience and English speaking required.

Job description

Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Clean and lubricate parts. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Repair bent or torn sheet metal. Other seasonal mechanical duties as assigned. Drive to town to pick up supplies on occasion. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct, insubordination, or violations of safety protocols may result in termination.
