Job summary

Genus PLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment improvements to increase availability and yield on farm operations. You will analyze failures, troubleshoot problems, and document modifications and procedures to ensure ongoing reliability.

The role involves reviewing schedules, implementing action plans, managing parts and inventory, and supporting farm teams with installations, renovations, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• University degree in a maintenance-related field as listed above.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience in agriculture or manufacturing.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must shower in and out of the facility daily.
• Ability to operate farm tools and small equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules by farm and processes to understand activities.
• Create and implement action plans to meet maintenance goals weekly/monthly/annually.
• Assist with budget planning, ordering parts, and inventory control.
• Maintain records across software platforms on a weekly basis.
• Provide maintenance support to farm staff, including installation and renovations.
• Operate farm machinery and tools safely for renovation and upkeep.
• Develop emergency response plans and train staff to respond appropriately.

Education

Bachelor degree in Agro-Industrial Engineering or related fields
