Job summary

Prestage is seeking a Farm Maintenance Technician to support mechanical and electrical maintenance of farm equipment and facilities. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and implement repairs to keep operations safe, efficient, and reliable.

The role reports to the Farm Manager and mostly follows a Monday–Friday day shift, with potential for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. A strong safety mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Mechanical and/or electrical coursework or certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum of 1 year maintenance technician experience or related field.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment (tractors, farm machinery).
• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on farm equipment and support systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues; perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work with farm staff and vendors to service, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Identify replacement parts and maintain inventory levels.
• Inspect equipment and monitor performance to ensure quality and reliability.
• Adhere to safety regulations and promote a clean, safe work environment.
