Job summary

Adams County Children and Family Services seeks a Family Time Coach to support reunification efforts through structured family time, goal setting, and trauma-informed interventions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a higher education institution with coursework related to child welfare social casework
• Colorado Child Welfare Caseworker certification and valid driver’s license required
• Background check required
• Experience with TRAILS and county systems preferred
• Strong assessment, facilitation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment of parent–child interactions to determine intervention needs (visitation coaching; supervised visitation; monitored visits; group/communal parenting time)
• Collaborate with parents and children on goal setting for time together
• Develop case-specific treatment planning goals with the assigned caseworker and other professionals
• Provide continuous assessment of family time and parent–child interactions and document progress
• Intervene during family time if safety concerns arise and provide feedback to families
• Prepare written progress notes and reports for the assigned caseworker and Court
• Attend staffing, Family Team Meetings, court hearings and trainings
• Demonstrate professional advocacy for families and manage crisis situations
• Travel using personal vehicle to community appointments as needed
• Provide orientation and training to kinship providers and families

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field

Colorado Child Welfare Caseworker certification

Driver's license
