Job summary

Professional Services Group & Community Impact Programs in Appleton, WI, is hiring a Family Support Worker for our Family Support Services and Supervised Parenting Time programs in Outagamie County. You will help families stay safe, support reunification, and coordinate supervised visits for children in out-of-home care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and previous experience with at-risk youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe, positive supervised visits using knowledge of child development.
• Monitor and redirect family interactions during visitation.
• Safely transport individuals to and from scheduled visits.
• Analyze client situations to determine services required to control safety threats.
• Meet with families at home to ensure child safety and cooperation with safety plan.
• Triage, assess, and refer families to community resources and supports.
• De-escalate crisis situations and respond appropriately for youth and families.
