Job summary

Urban Strategies, Inc. in Houston seeks a Family Support Specialist II to provide comprehensive case management, referrals, and coordination with community and supportive service activities that promote economic self-sufficiency for families, seniors, and people with disabilities.

You will collaborate with a team to determine suitable approaches, develop development plans, and support residents across neighborhoods under HUD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.
• 3+ years case management experience with low-income households.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle available for work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessments, and enrollment in family support programs.
• Develop Development Plans and coordinate with social services for up to 100 individuals.
• Maintain resident data privacy and track data in LEARN system.
• Attend community meetings and support evening/weekend activities as needed.
• Provide resources for capital access, financial literacy, and wealth building.
