BCFS Health & Human Services in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Family Support Specialist to provide case management and crisis intervention for youth and families. You will deliver individual and family sessions using Motivational Interviewing and the Strengthening Families Program, coordinate referrals, monitor action plans, and assist in emergency placements in accordance with state and federal standards.

Flexibility to work evenings/weekends, travel to client homes, and maintain confidential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling or Criminal Justice or 4 years of direct service experience.
• Maintain First Aid CPR and licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-I) as applicable.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and family sessions using MI and SFP.
• Coordinate referrals, service planning, and documentation for assigned caseload.
• Respond to crises promptly at the office, during home visits, and by phone during business hours.
• Develop, monitor, and review action plans to increase strengths and reduce home conflicts.
• Assist in emergency shelter placements and respite care when appropriate.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect to supervisor and authorities.
• Attend staff meetings and supervision; travel to client homes and partners as needed.
