Job summary

Brightli is seeking a Family Coordinator in Springfield, MO to support youth behavioral health treatment by partnering with families, caregivers, and treatment teams. You will provide peer support, education, advocacy, and help families access community resources.

The role emphasizes family-centered care, collaboration, and empowerment, with opportunities to engage in training and community partnerships to promote long-term family resilience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Lived experience raising a child with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring disorders preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of agency, partner, and community resources available to support youth and families receiving behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

• Promote family-centered care by encouraging active participation and involvement of family members in the youth's treatment process.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure services are delivered using a strengths-based, family-focused approach.
• Provide peer support and guidance to families as they navigate behavioral health, substance use, and community service systems.
• Assist families in identifying, developing, and maintaining natural supports and protective factors that promote long-term success.
• Organize and facilitate parent education groups focused on family functioning, support strategies, and resource awareness.
• Connect families with appropriate community resources and referral services based on identified needs.
• Educate and empower families to effectively advocate for family-centered services on behalf of their youth.
• Build collaborative relationships with agency partners and community organizations to support coordinated care.
• Support and facilitate training opportunities for Family Support Specialists as assigned.
• Maintain professional communication and collaboration with families, providers, and community stakeholders.
