Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese Of Boston in Lynn, MA is seeking a Healthy Families Home Visitor to provide home-based support, parent education, advocacy and referrals to promote maternal/child health and development. The role includes visits in clients' homes, offices and other locations.

The Home Visitor will travel locally, offer group services, develop service plans, educate on prenatal care and early literacy, and connect families with community resources to support self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school/ HiSet equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with families from various socio-economic backgrounds and/or infants/young children.
• Ability to establish trusting relationships.
• Acceptance of individual differences.
• Experience with culturally diverse families and communities.
• Bilingual preferred; English/Spanish or other languages welcomed.
• Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
• Local travel to provide home visit service to eligible families.
• Offer group-based services including parenting skills education.
• Provide assessment of family strengths and needs including screening.
• Develop bi-annual family service plans based on needs.
• Educate parents on prenatal care and child development.
• Promote early literacy and safe, healthy home environments.
• Observe and document child growth using ASQ-ASQSE.
