Job summary

Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is seeking a Home Visitor in Cocoa, FL to partner with families, provide encouragement and education, and connect them to resources that support healthy child development. This role emphasizes coaching, advocacy, and building strong, nurturing family environments through ongoing home visits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and experience working with young children and families in a human services or early childhood education setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Building trusting relationships with families through regular home visits and ongoing support.
• Developing Family Goal Plans that identify each family’s strengths, needs, and objectives.
• Providing parent education focused on child development, healthy relationships, breastfeeding support, and positive parenting practices.
• Delivering developmentally appropriate activities that strengthen parent-child interactions.
• Connecting families to healthcare providers, community resources, and support services.
• Facilitating group activities and family engagement opportunities.
• Supporting healthy childhood development by educating families about age-appropriate growth and developmental milestones.
• Providing enhanced case management support and advocacy services.
• Maintaining accurate client records, progress notes, and program documentation.
• Entering data and tracking outcomes according to program and contractual requirements.
• Collaborating with supervisors and team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
