Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Must be a biological or adoptive parent or primary caregiver of a child with behavioral/mental health challenges.
• Experience navigating Virginia behavioral health systems and wraparound services preferred.
• Ability to engage with diverse families respectfully and non-judgmentally.

Responsibilities

• Orient families from admission through discharge at the CFHC.
• Provide family outreach and advocacy with CFHC team.
• Plan and conduct monthly family trainings or support groups.
• Deliver consultation to direct care staff to enhance family-driven care.
• Research and apply best practices in Parent Peer Support models.
