Job summary

The Faison Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a Community Support Coach to teach skills and behaviors that maximize independence in daily living for a small caseload of individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You will implement person-centered plans, document progress, and assist with health, safety, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills in activities of daily living to increase independence.
• Assist in reducing maladaptive behaviors using approved procedures.
• Maintain health, hygiene, and grooming through instruction and care.
• Provide active treatment and plan community access activities.
• Transport clients to community activities as needed.
