Job summary

The Community Group in Massachusetts is seeking a Family Specialist to provide guidance and counseling to families navigating state subsidies for early education, after school, and camp. You will establish and maintain subsidy records and coordinate eligibility with families, offering additional resources as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet EEC-regulated qualifications for the role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and computer skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to travel locally.
• Experience in childcare or bilingual English/Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake and enrollment procedures for EEC state subsidies and verify documentation.
• Assess family needs at intake and reauthorizations and provide resources.
• Add families and update information on the EEC centralized waitlist.
• Foster a cooperative, inclusive team environment with open dialogue.
• Maintain all documentation and files related to families.
• Manage a caseload of clients.
• Respond to inquiries from families.
• Use of proprietary software.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
